Bradon Coller - Pensylvania

Long time, no talk Wade. Looks like you had a phenomenal trip. I actually saw this trip on the internet a few weeks ago and was really interested in it. I'd like to try it next spring, so hopefully I can hit you up for advice and such. Hope all is well!

Randal Group - Costa Rica

This was a 5-day, 4-night trek through the highlands and canyons of eastern Peru. Salkantay is the center piece of this trek, it is a 20,574 ft. mammoth of a mountain, with glaciers spilling from it's jagged peak. The high point of the trek is the 15,180 ft Salkantay pass. I would not recommend this for people who have never trekked. My wife made the pass and she had never been above 10,000 ft. But it was no easy chore.

You camp in small villages and get to experience how the local highland people live. There are no ruins to speak of on the way, but the trek ends in Aguas Calientes, the town just below Machu Picchu. We woke up at 3:30 the morning after we ended our trek and made the 4 mile hike straight up the Incan stairs to Machu Picchu.

The landscapes are amazing, and I've seen this trek rated as one of the best in the world several times. If you get a chance, do this before you die!!!
